Kids finally came home from school with it Friday after some bizarre classroom mixing this week that I wasn't massively happy about when they came home saying they'd been mixing with other year groups. Needless to say we have both succumbed this morning, me boosted and feeling tip top. Other...
The only thing I've seen is the half denials by ministers. Boris used a carefully worded testing will remain free as long as it needs to
He could of course decide tomorrow that the end of January is as long as it needs to
I'm starting to find the joy you get from all this a little disturbing. Aside from that whilst I have been out enjoying normality I didn't spot the bit where Javid became prime minister. Could you please post a link to the news article confirming this quite significant change as a quick scan of...
Its a fair point. I come across several people regularly on the school run who have nothing wrong with them at all (they've admitted as such, no hidden disabilities here) who purchased their sunflower lanyards off Amazon so they wouldn't need to mask up
My concern is that it won't be just that 2 weeks. If there are guarantees that it will be that then everyone who's jabbed and boosted is fee to get on with life that's fine. If the 2 weeks becomes 2 months then 6 months and say 75 percent of adults are boosted why should that 75 percent continue...
Is 7 days the same as 2 weeks now then. A booster offers protection after 7 days according to the person who delivered mine??

I've spoken to a few today who are being put off getting boosted for that reason. If the boosters are the answer and are going well why would we need restrictions
My mum's pretty similar. 85 and doesn't travel much now but has now been persuaded to come to us for a few days. When I broached the covid subject she said she couldn't care less now. She's sacrificed plenty and in her words she doesn't know how many more Christmases she has.
In fairness I'm dreading London with the kids next week but can't disappoint them after the 2 years they've had (non covid issues) they deserve an enjoyable Christmas and knowing after that we will be cut off til early January mitigates the risk a little for me. I opted against football last...
Sorry you feel that way. I think you've misinterpreted it somewhat as I wasn't intending to come across as flippant. Most of what I'm commited to between now and Christmas is for the kids and I'm not overly keen on telling my 6 year old he can't go on the steam train to see Santa for example. I...
If I test positive between now and then I would. However once Christmas is here I'm with the same people for 10 days and not going anywhere so I guess its isolating by default
