Didn't think I would be back in this sub forum but alas times are going back. Let's hope and pray it gets nowhere near as bad as it did in April. I'm sure it won't but fingers crossed🤞

As you say it seems many thousands of mild cases being found and it convinces me that UK is similar. Would not surprise me if half the UK have actually had it over last 6 months most not showing symptoms or so mild that a slight cough/muscle ache/very mild flu like symptoms and although it's in...

I agree alcohol and being careful don't mix but limit the amount U can be served(for a trial period) and I think most would adhere to it. 2 months ago there were gatherings in street where I was almost daily and by time evening came yes, it wasn't social distant and I hazard a guess that was...

I think pubs restaurants gyms should be reopened in albeit a strict controlled way. Throughout latter few weeks of lockdown street parties were going on albeit outdoors and we've had protests with thousands gathering, Manchester raves with alleged 2000+ involved (no social distancing). I admit...

It takes around 20 virus particles to guarantee being infected by it a doctor said on a news article 2 weeks ago. How many particles are coughed out or sneezed out will depend on how much of virus load you have. I have no idea how many you would sneeze out though.

Yes mate see what u mean. Do u think they should just scrap social distancing and let people decide. If you have underlying health problems then it's up to you and simply don't go to places that are busy?. My view is that providing you take simple precautions your highly unlikely to catch it...

In the hospitality sector yes, it makes a huge difference. Most in this sector can go back to work and make some money at 1 metre whereas 2 metres most will not reopen.

It's generally accepted to queue to get into a shop but once in its by no means implemented. The people who are more worried about it wear masks and I imagine they are the people with underlying health issues. I do observe distancing and have done throughout but I would say it's 50/50 who do.

Badly need 1 metre rule then most things can get back to normal. Millions of jobs depend on it.

Nicola Sturgeon clarified some of it in Scotland today. As an example you get tested in a pop up centre or a home kit. It comes back positive and over next few days you get admitted to hospital. The hospital test again gives positive result. This isn't included as a new case as you've already...

New cases I presume. Whether it includes say hospital patients who tested positive on arrival and say,4 days later still tested positive who knows?! If it's the latter then actual new cases could be far less.

Unless the new cases suddenly jump to say 2500 and starts increasing daily then nothing to be concerned about. A few hundred here and there considering the mass protesting last weekend are to be expected.

When I went local shopping today apart from a few wearing face coverings it was business as usual even in shops. No one would of thought there was any social distancing. Think most have just even given up trying too keep distance. It feels like normal here now.

My point above then would suggest that the vast majority of testing figures are within the NHS the. This obviously a priority as with care homes which must account for what 90% of daily figures?. As above poster said his missus has to wait till July which suggests that it's not as easy to get a...

I presume that's just staff working on covid wards not all NHS workers? Otherwise that would mean hundreds of thousands tests every week in the testing figures solely in hospitals. Not that that's a good thing but it would mean not so many being done with the general population.

What a load of old bollox with trying to answer a simple question about a partner meeting up with another partner and staying overnight. That's been happening throughout the pandemic since lockdown started. All of them at podium today just sound a bumbling wreck!!!

I think the 2 metre rule will end this month and it'll be a minimum of 1 metre and see how it goes. In general life unless your at a footy game on packed public transport etc you pretty likely to be a metre from someone. Now, of course everyone will be"alert" as the government want us so be and...
