He actually hasn't been that much of a waste of money. If the total outlay has been 7 million that's peanuts in modern money.
How much do you think we think we paid to sign Dahoud (signing in fee, agents fees, relocation) plus wages?
Some signings don't work out.
Thought he added a bit of energy yesterday.
My concern is that he's not doing what is asked of him. Looks like Gross was berating him in the game and our coaches were right onto him afterwards. Obviously we don't know what was said, but not following instructions is a pretty basic part of...
There's usually an initial fee, a monthly fee and then a contribution to wages. It might be we just paid them for his wages as they're skint and needed his wages off their annual bill.
He is also in the team at the expense of Sarmiento. Lots of people been saying 'oh but he'd hardly play' etc. Clearly he would have had a chance if AF wasn't about.
I'm sorry but I have absolutely no loyalty to players on loan. I want players who've been here for 2, 3 years or their whole...
If he was our own player we'd be saying he looks like he needs a Champ loan.
It's really sad how his career has derailed but I think the reality is he really isn't that good. We shouldn't forget the injuries but we also shouldn't forget he was fit all last season. Would anyone really have him...
Re the injury. Enciso has been out much longer with a much more serious injury and has looked like a man possessed and the best player on the pitch in his two brief cameos. Braver, wanting to get on the ball. Hungry. Those things don't rely on match fitness.
He didn't look like he understood his role and it massively disrupted our attacking play. Not sure that is his fault. Technically very good but I think we can get the idea of Messi 2.0 put if our heads. As I said when we signed him, he should be seen as a Enciso replacement. Anything else is a...
I've heard some things in my time but a club paying someone's wages whilst they've been on holiday and training with another club really is pushing the realms of realities.
In my head there was two nightmares at Whaddon Road. One where we were awful and lost to ten men and another where we lost and the GK was replaced. Might be remembering incorrectly but my brain is saying Cartwright jumping over and missing poor shots, Kuipers involved in at least one game, and...
