Thanks. The vaccine will be OK - but it means the EU doesn't recognise me as double-dosed. All a bit silly really but I guess it means I'm personna non grata there currently. It was on my vaccine card and confirmed in the app.

The first of my 2 AZ vaccine doses is from a batch the EU doesn't recognise for its vaccine passport. They object to batches 4120Z001, 4120Z002, and 4120Z003. Not cool.

It is more complex than that as even if antibody levels fall there are immunity memory cells which can create new antibodies if there is another infection.

:facepalm: Can't the EU just bin the vaccine now and send it to Africa or anywhere really where it will save lives ? They obviously don't want to use it.

The very least she needs to do is unblock the virus specialist that she blocked and open her eyes and mind to the actual real world scientific evidence when it is shown to her.

I've reported that tweet. It is a lie that the AZ vaccine "doesn't work" against the SA variant. Supposedly they are cracking down on Covid disinformation, but we shall see.

Yep. Flailing around trying to cast blame on AZ and the UK to cover their abysmal vaccine procurement. AZ only got the contract to use Oxford University science if UK supply was met as 1st commitment. Everything from the EU on this is just deflecting the blame and trying to avoid...

This the issue. Why pick on AZ ? We know why. It is an organised misinformation campaign. But where is the original source ? Where is the office where this misinformation plan was hatched ?

I am raging about the stress and worry this could cause to people who have already had the AZ vaccine. At least be even handed. In the UK the pfizer vaccine has very similar miniscule numbers of blood clots. Perhaps they should suspend the use of that vaccine too ? This is targeted...
