Agreed, they have only lost once in the CC this year but weather saved us as well. Quite a serious level of punishment here though, a sign of poor discipline or the want to win that many doubted? Maybe both
It did in one game but saved the opposition it two. However. I agree with the general premise though; we'd never bowl a Div 1 team out twice and our batting is fallible - get Pujara out and it's game over. We'll get steady 40s and 50s from the likes of Carter and FHP but those don't win games.

Sounds like Carson tripped a batsman and Haines gave someone a send off after being warned already.

The phrase "Send him back to the village he came from" could be seen as an insult to his ability - i.e. a village cricketer - rather than a racist slur but I fear this may not be the case as if it were, this is something that could easily have been cleared up and apologised for at the time.
Carson, not Carter. Haines and Carson need to grow up.
Meanwhile, on the pitch its been about as good a day as the makeshift Sussex team could have hoped.
