Lokking at getting this as they are doing a deal at the moment with the 1st 3 months for £5 and no contract.

Don't have a box with a card slot but have a lcd tv that has the ability to add a CAM (Conditional Access Module) so that I can use the viewing card.

They can sell me one for £30 which doesn't sound too bad.

Is this the best way of getting Setanta or should I just buy a cheap freeview box?

Also can I get the service free if I buy a CAM off a dodgy website, is this possible?

freeview is free, it doesn't need to be hacked...

Nobody has done in the current revision of Mediaguard cards that Setanta and TUTV Linear use, because its not worth it. Takes a few million euros of equipment to hack DVB encryption

Old Setanta PPVs were easily 'hacked' as they relied on the stupidity of cheap Freeview boxes to not show them.

I'm sorry, but Setanta has been available on freeview for quite a while. You just have to pay to access it, same as Television X!!!

No, you're not getting the point

Setanta is on DTT
Freeview is on DTT
Television X is on DTT

They are all seperate services on DTT. DTT is Digital Terrestrial Television.
