I remember hearing on the radio once that the crash position is because they know the chances of survival are slim and it looks the neck in place making it easier to take peoples dental records to identify the dead :eek:

But how do they know who their dentist is? It could take years to sort all that stuff out.

Told by an Air stewardess who works for BA that the only reason the brace position is used is so they can identify the dentures of the people on the plane as you would most probably break your neck ... charming
