Nightclubs closed in Wales after Boxing Day, including New Year's Eve. Strong advice for people having Christmas Day together to do so outdoors. Mark Drakeford and Nicola Sturgeon are once again leading the pandemic whilst sorry Boris is bumbling along with his head in the sand.

We aren’t in bleeding Australia (lovely weather) or perhaps live comfortably off and hire a marquee with Jeeves to wait hand and foot on us …fully masked of course

Oh look Santa Claus has bought me an umbrella to keep the rain off while I open my sodden Christmas presents…sorry grandchildren Uncle Crodo says we must stay outside and try and enjoy ourselves
Expletive off

The strong guidance from now is to keep social contacts to an absolute minimum and if you absolutely have to socialise then do so outdoors, vaccines, social distancing and fresh air are our friends against Omicron in that order. Legally enforceable restrictions like Wales are now ordering need some time to allow businesses to get ready for the new measures which I expect will be in place for some time.

Move to Wales or Scotland, you’ll be much happier there.

Good stuff.

I went to the theatre in London on Monday with the missus. Just been out with 9 mates for a curry. Arranged darts night for next week, and a bit if a gathering for cricket on boxing day.

I'm choosing to live life

Something to keep in mind over the course of the coming weeks. Somewhat obvious when you think about it, but easily overlooked and no doubt purposely overlooked by the frenzied media.

People being hospitalised and dying WITH Covid is going to seriously increase in the days and weeks ahead. But, in a nutshell, don’t assume that it was Covid that claimed the life of the poor soul who hit another vehicle head on at 60mph.

I'm pretty confident that if I have Christmas dinner with my 88 year old mother in the back garden, then she won't die of coronavirus. So I suppose that would be another triumph for government policy?

I highlighted this fear a few days ago.

In the grand scheme of things, it wouldn’t break the bank if we gave everyone £100 for every jab they have. Wouldn’t that be more effective?

Doesn’t work.
We tried incentives to get heroin addicts to have their jabs. A sector of society who need money and aren’t afraid of needles. Even provided a free taxi to get there as well. Not one took us up on it.

Plus if they start handing out money I’m gunna hold out for my £100 when the 4th round of jabs Come round.

Maybe that’s the only jobs that will be left?
