It's always a minor cock up that brings them down in the end, rather than the major crimes.
I believe that there are a number of investigations happening at the moment. He might go down for some other minor cock-ups too.

However, his big crime was for inciting the Capital riot. I think he’ll get away with that. When a politician has their own personal militia, democracy is in danger.

Agreed. Another thing I don't understand is how getting a lawyer, who set up a corporation to make the payment, to pay off a porn star to keep quiet about an affair, and then reimbursing the lawyer, be illegal? I thought that when you use a lawyer, that means that things are legitimate? Doesn't it?
It's the image and reputation, innit. How would right wing America feel of their idol, the ultimate human sex god who could make any woman desperate and grateful to be shagged by him merely by grabbing their groin was shown to be just a punter who had to pay a porn star a shedload of dollars to let him have sex with her?
It woud be like a consortium of (right wing and MAGA suppoting) doctors and scientists providing irrefutable proof that men who felt the need to possess an AK47 had smaller than average willies...........

.........we can only wait and hope!

I really don't understand how paying off a former Porn star to keep quiet about an affair can be illegal, after all, we've all done this at some time.
It was put through the company books as a legitimate business expense. Fraudulent accounting. He may also be charged with breaking campaign finance laws. 34 indictments!

When you claim the money was part of your campaign expenses and lie (which Trump does just about every time he opens his mouth) on federal election forms that the money was for campaign purposes then that is illegal. The Republican politicians are attacking the prosecuting attorney in the New York Attorney General's Office for going through with the case but just because you are a former president does not put you above the law. Trump broke the law by lying about what the payment was for. His former fixer/lawyer, Michael Cohen, who went to prison for that exact payment to the porn star, Stormy Daniels, is testifying that Trump instructed Cohen to make the payment of $130,000 to Daniels to keep her mouth shut about a sexual encounter she had with Trump. There are others who will collaborate Cohen's testimony. The NY prosecutor is being threatened with if he really goes through with the trial of a former president that it will open up the prosecution of many Democratic politicians including former presidents Obama & Clinton for improper use of campaign money. The NY prosecutor is being extremely brave by standing up to Trump. His life is now being threatened continuously by Trump supporters which is being openly encouraged by Trump. Some say Trump will also be prosecuted for suggesting that his supporters harass this NY prosecutor and the porn star, Stormy Daniels. I truly believe that Trump may have met his match. In the future when Trump is asked for his cell # (mobile #) he will have to tell them New York Penitentiary Block G Cell 13. :)

From BBC website:

Trump pleads not guilty to criminal charges

The former US president has pleaded not guilty after being accused of 34 felony counts, including falsifying business records.

Silly old bat
Not sure Mr Farage (nor Mr Trump) actually understand what the rule of law is. The fact it has to be found Trump is guilty shows the rule of law is very much in place
If you’re a grifter like Farage, any application of the law is a witch-hunt.
