He wasn’t good tonight, but not going to get on his back. He just didn’t look sure of where to be & what runs to make, which will come in time. Got to learn our style of play.
To be fair to him the shot he 'should have scored', was put in the bottom corner and Onana made a very decent save. If he'd taken the shot a fraction earlier he probably would have caught the keeper out and scored, but that will come with match sharpness.
Think it was more in reference to players in. His ''we are complete'' seems more signings are unlikely, but the ''i dont know'' part might also mean there are some slight possibilities.
According to the Argus...
How much is the Ansu Fati loan?
It is understood that Albion are paying 80 per cent of the contract which is £160,000 per week.
This will be paid over ten months until the end of June and will cost £7 million for the season.
So question is…. Is this a loan we have been secretly working on for weeks & it’s all come out now as the closer to completion the more people know about it? Or is this an opportunity that has only come up in the past few days when Barca have decided he’s available for loan & we’ve quickly...
He’s right to be cautious. & so should we. If the guy had already rediscovered his pre injury form Barca would no way be loaning him, especially not to us. This loan is mostly about them testing out a player in a physical league, with more game time that they could give him, to see if he breaks...
This is well worth a watch to gain an understanding of what we might be getting. He once was a star at Barca but given his injuries, and what his body would have to endure, I doubt he'll be starting every game for us. Used in rotation with Pedro maybe. Took part in 51 games last season, mostly...
To state the obvious, IF we did loan him for the season... there's no chance of signing him permanently right? Too good for that? Surely Barca would want him back? Or if he did well with us it would be a shop window for clubs with deeper pockets...
