Wise words.
This was what Mac Allister was doing for us at the end of the 19/20 season, aged 21.
He only became a first team regular more than a year later in December ‘21 as he turned 23.
And Mac still seems to be getting better. I watched him against Fulham recently and he seems to have...
It’s very interesting to read almost identical posts on Mac Allister during his journey with us as we are reading about Facu. In terms of comparison, I think Facu is around about page 100 of Mac’s Albion career...
Unfortunately for Facu, I’d say that the position we need cover for the very least is CAM. He rarely gets the opportunity to perform there.
Hopefully after the window has closed, he won’t have to have his confidence battered on the wing and we can find him more meaningful minutes in the...
Very pleasing tonight indeed.
I doubt he’ll be a consistent player until his early 20’s along with the overwhelming majority of all players. But the top level DNA is there. He is going to be an awesome player.
I have to agree with this.
I remember seeing Enciso at the beginning of last season. He looked well out of his depth. He just didn’t have the strength or speed for the Premier League. However, he trained hard and De Zerbi used him wisely. He ended up being one of the best young players in the...
Wise words.
Facundo is extremely highly thought in his national team and at our club. Let’s give him as long as Mac had to come good and not get all ‘Chelsea, impatient and entitled twits’ about the boy.
De Zerbi would not give him minutes if he were not smashing it in training. My only gripe...
He has so much potential.
It’ll be no surprise if he smashes the Championship, bags himself Leeds’ POTS and they we grab him back as they squeal about making him the player he’ll be.
I try and support the teams we loan players to, this loan would be a struggle for me!
Yes, he is just 18. But let’s give him the same patience and time that we gave Mac to become a first team regular. On the evidence so far, he’ll need it. He looked quite raw against Stoke.
CAM? Not so sure. We’ve got plenty of those.
I’ve got the lad pegged as back-up to March as an inverted right winger. He seemingly has the strength, pace, dribbling ability, shooting and passing to play that role. I can’t think of a better fit if March is injured/rested.
He must have been massively winded with that landing. A broken collar bone would have been no surprise but hopefully it’s been confirmed to not be anything that serious.
How the **** did we pull that signing off!
Would be happy to have Messi here in his final season (24/25?) to play in Lallana’s role if Mac and Goodnight are still around.
I believe the things that impress RDZ about Solly his great tactical awareness and ability to play in the exact way his manager demands. This includes brilliant positioning and decision making. These sort of things require experience, it’s very rare a player has these abilities fully developed...
