Solly's injury has left us with more of a problem in defence than attack - and I'm not sure defence is Buonanotte's strong point. I think we might have to do a bit of serious shopping in January.
So why didn't we lend him to Leeds then? (genuine question)
We can still send him out somewhere (not necessarily Leeds) in January, so all is not lost! Maybe even at a slightly lower level - upper end League 1 perhaps, where he can really stand out and be a star - great for both his development...
As I said, the loan route is good for some. Doubtless the club will use metrics unavailable to you and I to decide if this would be the best way ahead. At the moment, he is a bit behind the curve (and that is no criticism of an 18 (or is it 19?) year old - keep hooking him at half time? - or...
Cue another debate argument on NSC abourt whether he needs to go out on loan to get used to starting 30+ matches a season, getting used to 'English' football, and bulking up - or whether he can be managed to do that with limited game time with us next season.
He's still young - a year on loan...
That's not saying much bearing in mind the footballing history of Venezuela. Is football even a major sport there? I seem to have read somewhere that basketball is the big sport there.
Cheers CJ - call me cynical, but I do wonder exactly what the bloke who barged into him was looking at - presumably not the ball .......................
Yes, we know what the tournament is. What's that got to do with the sort of tackle that caused the injury (if indeed it was a killer Kane type tackle)?
Yes, but what name to put on the back of his shirt? Lots of South Americans seem to go with first names/nick names on their shirts..............like Pele or Cafu, for example.
Could we get away with 'F*cu' do you think?
