We seem to have developed a preferred pathway for South American wonderkids into Premier League football.
It is the most extraordinary development I can remember as a fan of 60 odd years.
We should all be humble, proud and hugely excited that it is our club that is doing this.
And we've got 2 Argentinians (assuming Facu signs) and 3 Ecuadorians as well. We could have used those duplicates/swapsies to wrap up Chile, Peru and Uruguay (or three of the other South American countries we haven't got yet). Tony Bloom missed a trick there.
Excellent. Now we need a Bolivian, a Chilean, a Brazilian and a Venezuelan and we've got the full set, apart from those small countries north of Brazil.
