Palace made an astute appointment when getting Glasner in.
Maybe we missed a trick there, not appearing in our algorithms then.
He was manager of Eintracht Frankfurt when we appointed RDZ, even if he was of interest it’s very doubtful he’d have left them for us. They had just won the Europa League and he was managing them in the Champions League.

Meaning that the 4-0 we twatted them (with Ronaldo in the team) was expected?

Yes, yes it does.

But (extending beyond league games) whatabout the 4-0 to MK Dongs during Butt-head's tenure?
Well, memories are short in football generally aren't they? Especially outside one's own club. And each season is somehow bigger and more important than the one before.

Yesterday evening, the world watched the 'mighty' ManUre humiliated by the EPL's most pissant club ever.
Them getting beaten heavily when they were actually good must have been worse, Shirley?
As usual Palale got lucky. ManuUre missing their 2 best players this season, Rat Face and McThug. They normally get beaten by quality clubs as hinted at by @Harry Wilson's tackle.

Palace made an astute decision in getting rid of Roy.

Anyway, has anybody else noticed that Villa's and Palace's results have improved since Minge and the short arse got injured? Coincidentally favourite CBs of the waistcoatwanker?

Thank goodness we beat Villa. Can you imagine what it would be like on here if they were just a point behind us now.
They have a new manager bounce at the same point we are limping over the line in the season but…….Olise has a £60m release clause and will be off in summer and Guehi will be joining him. We know potless Parish and the yanks who want out will be trousering any money under the banner of the fantasy stand that never gets built and they will lump £80k a week to bring Zaha back to appease the black hoody’s who will be threatening another firmly worded banner.

Let them enjoy their moment f*** they have needed it after all that royball but they will f*** it up in the summer probably won’t back the manager and he can have a hissy fit with the owners and walk like he has previously in his career

To be fair to Palace they have their hits and misses in the transfer market but it keeps their head above the water each time. Under Glasner, Mateta has even started to look decent.
Everyone predicted them to go down a few years ago when they had ~10 players all out of contract at the same time. They bought Eze, Olise, Guehi, Anderson and some others and they were fine.
It wouldn't surprise me if they do the same after selling their stars this summer. Always lower mid table. Sometimes look like they're in danger but they always hire a new manager who saves them.

Palace have a pretty big wage budget (much bigger than ours) so are unlikely to get relegated unless the Americans decide to stop bankrolling them.

Genuine LOL moment just now on TS.

So Jeff Stelling telling us all that the Palace fans are a little unhappy as all the 'talk' is about Manure this morning... so Jeff states "Well we're going to talk about Palace now..."

"So Ally, do you think Palace can keep hold of Olise and Eze?..."

Not anymore they don’t , it’s about the same as of the last figures I saw, and Fati is earning a lot more than any Palace player I believe.

There is an awful lot of shit talked about individual player's wages.
Only a handful of people really know who earns what.

The only reliable figures are from the published accounts.
Palace have cut theirs back to £101m over the past 2 seasons.
Ours went up to £110m last season, but this was primarily, bonuses for qualifying for Europa league. The season before was £101m

Palace have fewer players on their books though, so they are probably running a slightly higher average wage per player.
They also have a lower income, so their Wage to Income ratio is higher.

Personally I don't think either approach is better or worse.
Palace manage to keep their talent longer, by paying bigger wages, but end up being more reliant on their stars.

They do have a good head of recruitment who so far hasn’t been attracted by the bright lights of a bigger club.
