Main Coronavirus / Covid-19 Discussion Thread

These are all very well but neither of them has a single thing to do with coronavirus / Covid 19. Please find somewhere else to discuss them unless you can provide direct, irrefutable evidence that links what you're talking about to the thread title. Or you may find your posting rights on this thread suspended for a short while.

Yes sir. :salute:

Some people are waking up to the reality of what’s going on in the world and how it’s run and some are choosing to stay asleep. The best thing about this virus is it’s increased the numbers who are questioning our systems and who control them exponentially.

Still unfortunately commonplace that those who don’t want to accept that anything other than what the bbc and other traditional media tells them choose childish derision to the above group rather than allow any of their mainstream system programming to be challenged.

I don't believe much of the way that BBC or other MSM presents stuff. But the kind of rubbish eg 5G and coronavirus being bandied about is not a great substitiution for scientific research.

I think the main concern for me around 5g is it’s just not been tested properly in terms of effects on us and our environment and is now being rolled out across the globe for financial gain. It may be hypocritical but I’m actually involved in some 5g roll out projects through work and had a really good chat with an O2 engineer. They are essentially assuming that the historical understanding of frequencies on humans means 5g will be ok without actually spending time to actually prove it.

The 5g industry is going to be worth billions to the telcos and governments selling the licenses so it really does feel like profit before people to me.

The very first question I would always ask of any scientist publishing their findings is, who is their paymaster?

Too often these "findings" have a biased answer before the science has been done. You are never going to publish a damaging paper on ABC if the company paying you, produce ABC.

Potatoes are bad for you. Next week potatoes are good for you.

A quick google points to loads of articles on the safety of 5G to humans all neatly summarised in the mainstream media.
If you are really concerned you could of course plough through some scientific papers (TLDR),
Nope the best route is to have a conversation with the bloke who is trying to attach a bit of telecoms kit to the wall and then plug the right cables into the right holes. He (or she) is bound to know whats going down.

Who is tarring everybody with the same brush? Did anyone say all care homes are the same? If someone else did, fair enough. My point was simply that it is being said that in the UK the stubborn numbers of new cases that we continue to see is down to care homes. Just because you can name some care homes where of course there were no deaths because they immediately acted to social distance or, failing hat, the staff are nice, doesn't negate the point.

I remember the arguments that there was no need to do anything about football hooliganism because not all football fans are hooligans. It simply isn't an argument. The fact that what was done was in many respects spiteful and counterproductive, ultimately leading to Hillsborough, is a separate issue.

I repeat, allowing so many people to die in care homes is a national scandal. The fact that it has happened in other countries doesn't make it OK. And the fact that plenty of care homes have brilliant staff doesn't make it OK. That fact that it is still happening is inexcusable.

Not you Harry ..but people do ..we all do ..you know that ..pick a lot of critical threads on NSC or in the ‘world’ ..we all do to a degree ..my post related to GB’s point rather than your own..I only went with my own experience..and have kept in touch with the home despite it being seven years ago..now I need to get back to work ..and it’s feeling a tad warm[/QUOTE]

I apologise.

There are certain conspiracy theories I can subscribe to - someone 'dropped a test tube' in the Wuhan 'Porton Down', or the virus was a military weapon kept for research and study etc, even that it was released in an attempt to suppress Hong Kong riots and they bungled it.

But 5G ? No. I mean it is worth investigating the effect of mobile signals on the immune system, sure. But it won't be any cause of this pandemic.

Ah, I see you quoted me and Jeff, not me and Harry so I guess your take is "I'll allow derailing discussions as long as your siding with me".

No complaints, just taking notes.

This was a post on here a few days back

One of my customers is on the design team for the 5G network for O2 he said there are major problems with it which are being brushed under the carpet and some of the conspiracy theories are in fact close to the mark

I don't believe G5 causes Covid 19, but it looks like there's plausibility it can't do it any favours to say the least. I thought beating covid 19 was all about us keeping healthy and not taking any risks?

No, Harry's refuting your nonsense. If you hadn't put it on here in the first place he wouldn't need to.

Neither of you have directly linked CV19 to 5G or 4G or any other mobile signal. You've just posted your theories of disease (Grand Mal) and danger on the thread associated with it and let it run. The snidey, underhand tactics that associate something with something else without ever having to prove it. Lazy and insidious.

And, let me remind me, you are a barely tolerated guest on here who is trying to take over the whole board while "Jeff Minton's Corners" is on his sixth different user id on here. Don't fall for that sob story about short term memory loss - you can simply get your password reset if you forget it.

It makes me tolerate both of you slightly less and I don't give a twopenny **** if that upsets you.

What's with this obsession with reminding people of their past all the time? It gives me this picture of Jeremy Kyle moderating a football forum with so smug grin of power on his face.

If you must know and want to declare to everyone on NSC about this new NSC account of mine. Ask Bozza. I only created this account so I could get my previous account open. I've completly forgotten all my previous passwords. I told him who I was straight away so I don't understand why this is being brought up by you on a thread subject which has been the most serious thing since WW2?

But what a surprise you've brought it up only after a matter of days on a thread it has nothing to do with.

You're derailing this thread I'm afraid. It's only you trying to have an argument by bringing this sort of stuff up. No one has said anything about you surprise surprise. Now please, give it a break. Covid 19 is the discussion here, not the people you have deep rooted, bitter personal problems with.

If you're going to keep warning people of derailing a thread you're trying to create a binfest on, just remember this is a very important thread and not one you need to try and bring old unrelated crap into for the soul purpose of getting people arguing and starting vicious divides.

Now FFS! Please let's keep this civil and on subject!

*England is hospitals only

Also worth baring in mind these are probably weekend numbers due to bank holiday weekend, but England still particularly low.

You still haven't answered what your theory about EE's 4G installation affecting your seizures has to do with covid, Please answer that and only that.

You are not going to find the answers you need on NSC. Please go talk to your GP or an epilepsy support group. You can not remove risk. Everything you do including breathing, has a risk attached to it. The trick is to manage the ones that you can control and ignore the ones you can't, especially if the likelihood is extremely low.

The latest exchange between me and Harry started with him quoting a several days old post I made in this thread about this very toxicity creating subject. When you said "stop derailing the thread" a few days ago, I adhered to it and as far as I know everyone else did as well, but if someone(nothing against Harry, he could have just missed the 'dont derail this' thin) then pops up to bring up again by quoting one of my posts - I felt the urge to reply.

Not upset really, just pretty flabbergasted about how extremely rude and toxic you are towards anyone who is not a mirrored version of yourself. You declined to respond why this is the case the last time I asked, so I'll just make my own assumptions. You are untouchable, of course, but it could be a good thing to remember that with one of these bolded user names - you set the tone.

Have you seen a 5G phone ring with wire wool around it? Doesn’t look very healthy to me.
