sounds like sort of thing floated in "everything on the table" business contingency planning. the obvious counter-arguments would be losing experienced staff, time to rehire and get back running, contractual obligations, reputation costs. probably not likely to happen.
do they check they are actual standards comforming, or just look about right so pass them? plenty of disposable ones look like medical grade ones.
difference is non-standard/bit of cloth is only about 50% effective, which is next to nothing for a prolonged exposure in close proxmity.
funny thing is, we are simply moving into line with europe, who have restrictions and quarantine in place until either 15th June or 1st July. theres not many destinations to go to until then. its just to tick the box then relax restrictions in July as others do so...
its simple, if i have joined the dots correctly, our government want to follow what rest of Europe is doing. we dont have powers to summarily impose quaratine, unlike our neighbours, so have to put through legislation. being slow we are only doing this now, so we'll going into quaratine just as...
Spain for one, announce the quaratine last week starting Friday. https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/news/spain-restricts-arrivals-from-schengen-imposes-14-days-quarantine/
it may be calculated to concentrate minds, but its the reality: support or business go bust. in the case of an airline its probably pragmatic to let the business go bust and rebuild later. tragic for all the people employed in the short term.
