A tricky one to assess.
If O’Neil, Silva or Iraola had been parachuted in, in January. How would they’ve fared with our decrepit, inadequate, out of form centre midfield and full backs?
Which full back has been quality this season, just one, Hinshelwood for a fleeting few games.
The summer...
No one can ever take away from him the incredible Chelsea to Bmuff 12 months. A long sample of games in the hardest league in the world, playing different tactics to Potter. It’s an insult and illogical where some attribute that to Potter’s short purple patch at the very end.
I just think...
What did the Wolves loss reveal?
I was told here the other day that we outclassed them from start to finish, that Wolves didn’t deserve a thing on the day.
He’s finished, offers us next to nothing for a very long time now. Like it or not, the PL is about pace. Opponents would welcome his name on our team sheet.
A huge talent in his day, but time caught up with him.
LB - Estupinan’s complete loss of form, showed our weakness there. Barco’s a young prospect.
CM - excluding the inept and painfully slow, to me we’re left with the prospect Baleba and slow Gilmour. Imho we’re need more than one with pace/power for next season, should that newbie get injured...
Bloom’s not going to sign three top flight quality CM’ers, a RB and LB.
RDZ might as well try elsewhere.
The next manager can see if he can get back a PL winning machine including Lamptey, Dunk, Milner, Gilmour, Baleba, Webster, Moder. Solly and Mitoma won’t solve issues of a squad where...
I rate him but he needs a squad oozing with quality to play his perfect football.
We’re light years from that now. The Albion team exactly a year ago would destroy this one. Bloom’s not going to be able to achieve that again in a hurry. Players like Baleba are prospects, no more than that...
RDZ didn’t just give Solly the confidence to score, he transformed him into a player who truly believed he deserved to star in any and every PL game. Would love to hear Solly’s view on RDZ.
Airbrushing out:
- incredible football from Oct 22 to Sept 23.
- Steele, Dunk, MacAllister, Caicideo, Enciso, JPVH, Colwill, Verbruggen, Solly, Mitoma and Hinshelwood all improved under RDZ. Solly a great example, he finally believed in himself.
None of those options.
I’ve gone from loving RDZ to being very laid back on whether he stays or moves on, a win-win for us as I trust the club succession planning.
