It was a superb send-off, warm and moving, the packed church was a testament to how much he was loved and respected by such a wide spectrum of people. Even Norman Baker sent a message. Roz and family did Ed proud today. He would have absolutely loved the service while wondering what all the fuss...
Can't remember the circumstances now, but at some point in the dark and distant NSC past Ed became the first and last recipient of an honorary NSC knighthood.

Agree with you 100%. Though the Albion to Ed meant far far more than the Premier League, the Amex and the current sponsor and logo, as I'm sure you'd agree. Hopefully room for both photos in the Man City programme, if not on the big screens.
Ed did the hard and thankless miles at those wretched enquiries. In the previous incarnation of NSC he'd diligently write up every session, morning and afternoon. It was always dense intricate deeply-knowledgeable text, often reflecting the absurdity of the proceedings. The club would then duly...

Ed was a lovely man, a good friend to many of us on here and a wise and tireless campaigner on behalf of the Albion. He will be sorely missed.
