That’s a completely different point. This thread is discussing if Faco is ready for the first team NOW or not? My opinion is no he’s not, not yet.
The current injury situation is extreme and even by Albion standards was unpredictable.
This injury situation we find our selves in is excessive, it’s not ‘normal’ or predicted. If it weren’t for this situation he wouldn’t even be getting the minutes that he currently is getting and IMO opinion he is not quite ready for yet. So if it’s not a predicted situation then it was not...
That’s not my job to know, the club pay pros six figure salaries to work that one out. Somewhere he’d play 70%+ of matches and in his strongest position. If he’s that good then they’ll be ‘top 6’ championship or French/Dutch/Belgium clubs queuing up.
I’m not disagreeing. I just hope that he’s not had his confidence destroyed before then. He should be out on loan at a team where he’d play in that position 3 games out of 4 and have more than a fleeting impact, because he has the potential to be excellent but he isn’t YET, and I don’t think 45...
Which is why he should be out on loan, IMO he’s not ready yet to play no10 for a top 6 EPL team and he’s clearly not a winger.
His assist Sunday was class but what else did he do? It’s like praising a defender for one very good tackle if he is then a bit of a passenger. Which is why he was...
It helped a lot that he wasn’t just up against a team of giants who just wanted to kick him/us to bits. He wasn’t ready for Everton but up against a team who wants to play us at actual football he’s got the potential to be sensational, especially as I don’t think RM is his best position.
He needs to at least try to go outside his man now and again but he’s clearly very one footed. Over the next 12 months the club will strengthen him up and coach, coach, coach. Same as Ensciso, Mac, March, Trossard, rinse and repeat.
I think the link to the bloke at NYC Utd is the most likely Trossard replacement. I wouldn’t want to see anyone get in Sarmiento’s way but I see him more as long term Lallana than out wide.
