Wow. That puts him in a difficult position in terms of ‘maintaining relationships’. Good! Need someone to be out and about in S America solidifying the work already done with key contacts.

My thought too. When someone is a potential leaver then it certainly focuses you on succession planning, which we are already good at. The fact that he’s been put on Gardening leave shows that we are protecting our preparation work for the summer window. Hopefully it’s for 6 months to take us...

We seemingly managed to keep Jewell when Rangers came knocking a while back. I think he’ll go to Chelsea as they plan to buy an Argentinian feeder team and I can see a nice, well paid role for him there, trying to harvest that opportunity. We’ll have a plan in place and we aren’t standing in...

Knee jerk response after Man United’s alleged interest. Unbelievable. I expect that he would prefer the Man United job under Ashworth. I would, rather than Chelsea. Anyway, Chelsea won’t be able to recruit anyone due to their profitability and sustainability position, unless they sell loads of...

Not sure that Man United will be after unproven ‘wonderkids’. They’ll be after a different type of player. Would expect that if he is targeted by Ashworth we would put Sam on a long period of garden leave to protect our transfer business prospects for the summer window.
