Ten games left including Arsenal, Liverpool, City, Chelsea and United. We’re probably one or two injuries away from going into them with a bunch of reserve / U21s.
We’re basically going to have to play whoever’s fit:shrug:
That’s because he’s not a winger. He’s a 10 and we have far too many of them and not enough wingers.
A front four of Adingra (or March), Fati, Mitoma, Joao Pedro would beat almost any team we encounter. But injury and failure to strengthen mean we’re constantly playing square pegs in round holes.
I can totally see why RDZ wanted him. He’s been schooled on possession football and flair and systemic football since he was a small child. However, he came with a huge injury risk.
The latest one hasn’t been kind to him and he’s playing like he doesn’t want another one, rather than he wants to...
Yep.
Premier League player comparison tool is always good for these sorts of things. Statistically he's very similar to Adingra when it comes to attacking (Adingra does more defending because our wingers have to the way we play). He also has one of the best touches in the team, is genuinely two...
Not Barca hype. He’d been out for a year and then mostly used as a sub so as @FCB said on here he’s a year behind in his development. Was playing for Spain and Barca at 16.
Two goals in five PL games (one with each foot) and one Europa league goal with a 90% ish pass accuracy suggests he’s...
Yep. A few of us knew what the potential was if he stayed fit, and that he'd be mostly used as a 10 or false 9. Lovely to see him fulfilling it with a big grin on his face.
Mind you, I'd back that Ajax side to up the confidence of any opposing young player with a bit about them. Must be the...
We flew back late on Monday after the Levante game so were actually there to see Coutinho unveiled. Just prior to that he'd taken us apart at The Amex running the whole game for Liverpool and there was a lot of excitement for him for Barca. Pretty much went horribly for him from then on.
Yamal is in but not Fati

Thanks for the post, much appreciated.
I was surprised at some on this thread not knowing of him when he has had all the plaudits and pressure of scoring for Barca aged just 16 and taking the no 10 shirt. But then I have a soft spot for Barca. My son's second team have been Barca ever since he...
True - expect this to get sorted though, right? They're not going to want his salary back on the FFP bottom line with no more time for him to sign for another club?
Not sure where you got extra £45 mill from. We sold Caicedo for the price we needed / wanted. There was nothing extra about it, we were just going to tell them to do one until they hit the magic number.
It’s a good point overall though. Our transfer strategy once we got in Europe was always...
I've always assumed there are thousands of them based on the number of times I've heard people calling their names. And based on the irate tone used they must all be naughty little buggers.
Maybe. I think Bounanotte out on loan just became more likely. After that we’ll be playing. Thursday / Sunday with four attackers out of Mitoma, March, Ferguson, Welbeck, Pedro, Adingra, Fati and maybe Lallana (10 only). That’s two for each position. Fati won’t start until we’re sure of his...
