Wow, where are you? Just walked back home from my booster and flu jab at a local pharmacy, only booked via the NHS website last week. Pretty busy there - mostly boosters, but a few 1st/2nd jabs, judging by the ages.

Please can we just get through this winter first, evaluate where we are, and leave the gloomy speculation until we are better informed? There are all sorts of possible scenarios, and I hope they are being researched and planned for, but let's not try to depress ourselves even more.

With no expertise in this, I'd be more comfortable with both of them having one jab each (even in the unlikely event of the protection "fading"). Get as many people protected as possible, to get over the hump of the new virus variation. If would obviously take a long time to compare the efficacy...

Basic hygiene wins again. However, it was pointed out elsewhere that Listerine doesn't have the necessary ingredient. Also, not all mouthwash contains alcohol. Sorry!

I imagine many of us will be so far down the priority list, that any issues will have been found before we get the chance. I don't bother with the annual flu vaccine, but see no reason for me not to get this, if only to stop anyone accusing me of being selfish.
