[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

Good stats. And I think Buonanotte’s goal against Sheff Utd in the cup was better than Garnacho’s overhead.

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

That was special. I never want to see him on the wing again. A different player in the middle.

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

Did ok tonight, not quite up to his Palace levels but definitely getting better overall and making much more of a contribution to the team. Clearly a very talented ball player, the quick feet that set up the chance Welbz should have scored from was magic. Hope the injury isn’t bad, we need him...

But comparing him to Gross's stats??! I know you're keen to promote this lad at every opportunity but that is not helping!

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

I think the thread is actually very fair? As far as I can see he is getting a lot of leeway for his age and experience. He's been praised when he's done well and critiqued in the area's he's struggling in. He's not going to be praised as much as Ferguson, Enciso or even Hinshelwood as he hasn't...

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

That's a strange plus side to pick, his passing accuracy was only 1.8% higher than Gross's yet Gross completed 37 more passes than FB! :lolol:

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

What we've come to expect. Some nice touches but overall lightweight and decision making poor, RDZ went batshit mental at him at one point when he had a ridiculous shot from outside the area when a pass was on. He could learn a lot from Hinshelwood.

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

That’s just not true though - FB has been with us 10 months now. Enciso had scored two worldies including the goal of the season, plus a briliant goal at Bournemouth and one at Arsenal for us in that time. Bissouma had also contributed more already in that time including a MOM performance...

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

Of FFS, chill out and stop being so precious. Some randomer criticising him online on a platform he’s not going to read, a fans football forum for that where fans can put their opinions forward, is not going to harm his development. His chance to play and progress should have been elsewhere...

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

Was pissed off when he came on as knew what was coming up, he was so, so poor - predictable, weak and has no composure at all. Overhyped sub appearance mid week in what was basically an exhibition match at that point against crap opposition. No where near good enough at the moment.

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

Having Lamptey playing on the right would possibly add something for us in an attacking sense with FB on the right but I would really worry defensively as you say. As I've said before, I ideally wouldn't play FB as i don't think he's anywhere near good enough at the moment. But if we have to...

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

We were linked with a lot of right sided attackers in the summer weren’t we? I think we probably were trying to get one as we do look a little light there. Adingra played more on the left before joining us didn’t he too?

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

Better than Trossard, Bissouma, Caicedo and Mac Allister?!! That is a hell of a leap of faith based on what we've seen so far. I keep reading that there's a player there, he will come good and be great for us etc. I would love to know examples of what that is based on as he hasn't shown...

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

Absolutely. We can see potential and he hopefully will play a big part in a year or two but I also think it's fair to say he is definitely not ready yet.

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

This. Considering the stick that some of our our players like Igor and Dahoud have got recently from some on here after just one and a handful of games respectively and other players in the past, FB is getting a surprisingly soft ride considering he’s been here 9 months and featured in 16 games...

Yep, good news, he needs a good loan. If not Leeds, hopefully we've got another Championship level or foreign equivalent league side lined up.

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

Like JPVH, last night was comfortably his best performance for us, he was excellent. You could see them both grow in confidence as the night went on and for the first time they both looked like fully fledged members of this technically and tactically brilliant team. It was wonderful to see.

It noticeably happened with Van Hecke away to Leicester too.

[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte - SIGNED for 1.8 billion pesos

It is a strange one. Clearly a very talented young player, and he is very young, and will hopefully be another star for us. But he’s shown nothing in his performances for us so far that he’s ready to start or even play a big part from the bench. Surely we should have let him go with Argentina...
