Yikes - I've only just seen this.
I thought tags had been turned off since we migrated to Xenforo because, on vBulletin, they were abused in the way you illustrate.

I'll be doing that with pretty much everything else, and people can use the Ignore Threads function to quickly hide stuff they no longer want to see.
I brought that back last week.

I didn't mention it because I'm going to be reducing the number of sub-forums considerably in the next day or two. Many are just historic and see little or no use now.
With the ignore thread function people can tailor their own view of the Big Board easily, and remove from view...
Yes, you can ignore threads started by mods and admins (me).
There's not an option to override that, and as I know there was quite a lot of appetite to be able to ignore threads, it's something I'm happy to run with.
Note: You can't ignore a mod/admin in the same way you can ignore any other...
I've SPLASHED THE CASH and bought the "Ignore Thread" add-on for Xenforo.
This will allow you to hide a thread from view, so you never need to see it again.
This is how it works...
1. Open the thread you wish to ignore. In the top right, you will see a new "Ignore thread" button. Click/tap...
