There'd have to be something particularly special in the performance or circumstances to justify a 10. I'd not put a number to it or particularly define it, because as we know from Spinal Tap, once you go to 10 you've nowhere else to go.

Depends on your scoring system surley? I wouldn't give a 9 to anybody who hadn't scored a hat trick (or something comparable if they're a defender).
