Just got home.
Suspected grade 3 tear of the medial gastrocnemius.
Been given a pair of crutches and some cocodamol and sent on my way but if I start to get any extra discomfort in it or any numbness in my foot then I have to get myself to a&e.
Going to make work tough as I average 17,000...
Woke up this morning hoping it would just be tight but it still feels like a red hot poker is stuck in it after several icing sessions last night.
Been up at Lewes since 8am. Seen the triage nurse and still waiting to be seen by a doctor.
Think I've come to the wrong place. Thought it was like...
I can't tonight now. Drank too much and Mrs Spongy can't drive as we have a young'un who has miraculously fallen asleep on request and there's no way I'm going to risk waking her now otherwise literally everyone's night is going to be ruined.
Honestly, Thankyou for the advice. I have to be up...
If nothing feels better in the morning I'll get myself to the Lewes one. It's nearest. Don't want to clog up a&e with a pulled muscle. Much more serious things need their attention.
It's not my Achilles.
The pain is from the top of my calf where it joins below the knee and stops at the top of my Achilles, feels like the muscle on the inside of you understand what I mean. The whole thing is rock solid when normally it's just squidgy when relaxed.
Doctor said I'm not...
Hi all
I've really hurt my calf.
Has anyone done this before? I mean badly?
I was at work today and hurt myself lifting something at a funny angle and was using my leg as leverage and it literally went "pop".
My colleague who was about 3m away heard it and turned around to see me grimacing...
