I don't think he does this unless it's a very subtle last minute thing that doesn't get picked up by the cameras. As far as I can tell he looks to his left/the keepers right and then places it in either corner. The fact that he sends the keeper the wrong way so often must mean he does...

Interestingly he doesn't give the eyes as far as I can work out. At least not in the traditional sense. He appears to look quite clearly to his left/the keepers right and then puts the ball in either corner.
