I agree, it was far better than Marseille, and BHAFC and Police staff did seem to hang around until we left. I think the Athens stewards and police (or lack of them) was the problem IMO.
You'd have to ask the club on that one, but I presume its because drivers weren't available. You'd have to see the local engineering works that day as that's what the club compete with.
I think it is worth exploring, I'm not lazily saying there aren't enough drivers, that is what I know is the case from experience of procuring buses. Is it an answer you don't want to hear? Just to clarify I did a transport degree and a lot of people who are my friends from the course are now...
Have we? On the rare occasion we have had to run buses instead of trains there haven't been nearly enough to take us home, and the EDF park and ride only seems to run on certain occasions. If anything that shows that there aren't enough buses. A lot has changed in that industry since the spurs...
Well they did get people TO the game, coming back it took hours. I’d have to find out the games they ran the EDF park and ride, I expect there’s no engineering works locally on those days. The EDF park and ride is a good start, but I think there must be a logistical issue to do with...
Anyway isn’t most of the problem with the buses traffic when it comes back on the return dead leg, surely adding more buses is just going to make the traffic worse.
I understand you'd like that, there have been proactive, creative and collaborative approaches, but its just how the country is at the moment, not just the transport industry. What hope is there when you have a prime minister saying we are the nation of the car or something along those lines...
Where are they getting these buses from? It would have to come out the available buses for the Park and Ride, therefore still having a long wait. I think I've said it before but these problems are not something the club can solve in the short to medium term, if at all, its in the hands of local...
Oh yeah I agree, lot of people do this, but it isn’t the problem , the p and r was fine when they had the right amount of buses. If they banned walk ups I don’t think they’d solve anything, it will still be very busy. I used to use the racecourse a lot but I don’t now, the impact of the walk ups...
The walkers being the problem is being massively overstated as well IMO. The problem is the bus supply post pandemic/Brexit, that’s what they need to solve. The walkers are not what caused it.
The problem I know is the supply of buses and drivers, it’s a national problem, if there are engineering works locally and a Brighton home game, the resource is right down to the wire. It’s something that has to be worked on at a national level, we need more workers to do the job, a bit like the...
I have brought this up a few times to the club in reference to two away games on sale at the same time and have yet to receive a response. Its annoying as you want to select the best seats for both games but can't.
Why does it now say its going to take me 28 minutes to get on, I used to be able to get straight on for League Games. Now the people with the most loyalty points could possibly get the worst seats when tickets first go on sale. EDIT: Not aimed at you @Barry Izbak, just more a general statement.
