Yes. With the police having notionally banned us from the tourist parts of Marseille I thought Avignon might be a nice place to spend a couple of days. Loved it (and to keep vaguely on topic for the thread, ate & drank very well). Would recommend.

It's a while since I last spent much time in France and my experience over the last couple of days is that the situation is much improved. Most restaurants short of Michelin-starred fine dining places have a vegetarian/vegan option right there on the menu. No need to ask if the chef will make...
