I’m sure he will. I think Bart needs to work really hard to get the shirt, let him have some competitive cup games rather than friendlies to prove himself. Steele has done enough last season be the current No.1.
Not so sure.
We need two keepers for next season. One for the cups and one for the EPL.
McGill is not good enough yet.
Sanchez won’t sit on the bench.
So it’s Bart and Steele. I would not be surprised if Bart was given the cup games including Europa to prove himself first.
When Burnley tried to play their style against Man City, they were destroyed. Most teams in the EPL will do the same to them unless they have a significant amount of upgrades and luck.
Bart might well be their number one but constantly fishing the ball out of the back of the net will...
I think those teams in the bidding for Raya might well decide to go for Sanchez. I think we’re likely to let him go for less than Raya’s rumoured asking price of £40m. That means there is plenty in the keeper kitty to bid £18m or a bit more for this chap.
I think RDZ judges keepers on different metrics to those used to sign Scherpen.
Can he pass quickly and accurately under heavy pressure? If not, I may well not be coming back from Holland.
