That's true. That's because Steele wouldn't have got to the ball and it would have fallen to Brereton Diaz who was at the far post. Verbruggen did the right thing, he got unlucky our midfield/CBs weren't tracking runners.

Also made a couple of huge saves in the second half, the one where Dunk cleared the follow up shot was an incredible save. Also gives me a lot more confidence from set pieces than Steele.

Just started watching. Verbruggen and JPVH looking very comfortable on the ball, almost playing the De Zerbi way with Verbruggen baiting the press and playing into the defensive mid. Then a good bit of sweeping, getting out quickly to clear the danger.
