39 years of full contributions. Not planning on working anymore now. 10 years till I can get my state pension.

I retired at the end of Jan, and was gonna look for a job 2 days a week. Not a lot out there though so I’ll enjoy my time off while it last. 😜

Great advice. I’m not planning on working full time after 60. You only get one life.

It also helps if you find an old pension you didn’t realise you had. Worth trying to find out.

Handed in my notice a week ago. Planning on getting a little job 2 days a week next year. Had enough of years of shift work. Gives me more time to ride and wind down slowly to proper retirement. Mrs B left the NHS earlier this year as it was becoming more and more stressful.

Good genes. :lolol: a small FS pension plus my pension I have now, company shares all help. I’ll be 58 so hence a part time job for a couple of years till I reach 60. mortgage will be paid off next year. As mentioned on here, don’t think you need as much money as you think to take the plunge.

21 months to go. (Not that I’m counting down the days) Then I’ll probably get a PT job a couple of days a week, can’t wait.
