We have exactly this on our property for our two kids. Take advice, but it does exactly what we wanted

I always found that being in a hotel on your own after, if you're lucky, being 'entertained' for dinner when you're completely knackered and still trying to remain 'professional' wasn't very glamorous at all. When I was younger, if there were a couple of you (or even better a few) you could keep...

Now I'm jealous. My knees mean a couple of times a week is my absolute limit (and after a tournament I need a week and a half to recover)

    [Misc] Retirement

Seeing this thread bouncing around, I realised it's now over 12 years since I retired. I actually thought I was lazier than I was and after a couple of years I started doing some part time stuff because I was getting bored. It was always my ambition to retire early but didn't work out like I...

    [Misc] Retirement

I have about 70% high(ish) risk. I know that if I was more active (my IFA does tell me ) I could get better returns but I'm afraid my investment strategy is similar to my football supporting one, sit tight and hope for the best. It's got me lower half premier, so not bad in both cases...

    [Misc] Retirement

I finished at 50 (11 years ago now). I immediately moved the majority of my pensions (some of which were final salary) out and manage them myself with an IFA. We still have a couple of final salary scheme ones that looked like they were worth keeping. One of the main reasons was so that Mrs Wz...
