It’ll be interesting to see what Hull do next season - by my count they’ve lost about 30 goals from Aaron + their loaned players which seems a big gap to fill just to stand still.
I guess the chance to develop and learn at a lower level. Being one of the ‘main men’ or cameo subs off the bench for a PL side chasing top half finishes is a pretty high level for a player with no professional experience of football
Maybe OP used the wrong phrasing, but he should have gone out on loan sooner - but Aaron didn’t want to , Tony had concerns about him being away from the club - and our lack of striking options made it tough. In hindsight I’m sure it’s pretty widely accepted he should have been given a loan
But also look at the other players Hull had - I’d say Liam actually ‘failed’ given the position they were in, the calibre of loan players they had particularly in attack so was always going to be tough. I’d guess he was on big money given the 1 year deal and they’ve decided to move on. But I...
To be fair he suffered quite a bad injury from the Norwich goal keeper didn’t he , and Hull have a plethora of striking options including the lad on loan from Liverpool. Liam R has only been playing 1 striker so was always going to be tricky for Aaron to get back in the squad especially as they...
Bloom was a bit to invested in Aaron as well from what we’ve heard. Probably desperate for what would have been our first academy ‘success’ in a long time at that point
If we believe Andy Naylor then even Tony Bloom has been involved in some key decisions around Aaron’s career. I believe as a young lad with a bit of a reputation the club didn’t want him out of their view miles away.
As much down to him as well - unfortunately a Championship loan didn’t really work out, a move abroad away from ‘distractions’ at probably a League One level has been cut short so I’m not really sure where he goes from here.
A big part of it is his dedication, professionalism and really pushing...
