True. But that doesn’t mean the situation is irretrievable, in fact he said he’d learnt and ditched the hangers on when he went to Boro.

But he did get the “middle ground” as he went on loan to a bunch of clubs albeit at a slightly later stage in his career. He was given every opportunity after the 2019/2020 season but it seems he’s not good enough. :shrug:

A question I have, is what are these loans supposed to provide a player? And what’s stopping a player getting the same benefits of a loan at a later stage in their career? My point being is there a significance difference going on loan to Venice/Boro/Hull in 2019/20 as opposed to 2 years later...

As I said, he was injured for some of the time. Maybe he decided to heal his injuries by going to music festivals again? That worked last time :lolol:

I actually looked up his season a few days ago, seems he did have some injuries but form was also an issue. Hul really was his last chance saloon for making a career at a decent level. I dread to think where he will end up next.

He didn’t impress at a mid-table Championship side…I think he’ll be lucky to get a lower Champ club.

Agree. And the club’s pathway, processes etc has allowed other players to flourish. Not ever player will make it.
