Oh come on! He looked really bloody good in PL2 as well. Player of the season; not just Brighton's PL2 player of the season, but the whole of PL2's player of the season. You don't get that for being sh1te, and there's plenty of competition.
I still believe it was a mistake not to send him out on...
He should have gone on loan the January after the Spurs match, or at least in Summer 2020. Hindsight's wonderful, eh?

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! - Knockaert was a good Championship player, but couldn't quite cut it at PL level? You'll be getting pelters on here if certain people spot that!
Sobvious, innit! Why pay out good money to buy him when he'll be available for nothing in 12 months time? - if you want to sign him then. Brighton will still proobably be paying part of his wages too - what's not to like for Hull?
On PL2 he was the real deal! He was the POTS - not just the Brighton PL2 POTS, but POTS for the whole of PL2 - people tend to forget that, but at that time/level he was really good.
The Nunez situation came too soon for us - if the situation (i.e. before he went to Benfica for them to double their money) cropped up now, we'd have a much better chance (7th. in the league, not bumping around near the bottom, WC winner in the team, players sold to top 6 sides for £50 and £60M...
