What has that got to do with what people post in this thread?
Anyone who wants to cheat only has to take 3 seconds and Google "today's Wordle solution"....?
The only thing that needs to happen to allow keen players to discuss openly on here is for those same keen players to avoid accidentally...
I expected a lot more of this today...
Shirty how many of the 7 equally likely consonants for box one were still in play on your 3rd shot..?
Someone, somewhere, today will have 4 greens on line 1 and still end up with a blob... [emoji1787][emoji1787]
Anyone else think that keen Wordle players reading Wordle chats BEFORE playing themselves that day deserve everything they get...??
Part of the fun of this game must be the freedom to discuss it.
I had an EXTREMELY tricky downhill putt after reaching the green in 2.
Knowing the last 4 letters but with 5 remaining of the 7 (SEVEN) equally likely candidates for box one ....
I reckon you've holed your second shot (long iron) for a rare albatross...
Anyone else using golf analogy to describe Wordle performance?
Words are Par 3, 4 or 5.
First guess is drive/tee shot.
Followed up by long irons, chips, missed putts and holed putts...
e.g. from my nephew today...
I thought there were 3 quite common words possible.
I'd ruled the most common one out by having a grey box letter.
I went for the more common of the two remaining.
The solution was the other one.
Interesting. I wouldn't have thought many people have done that.
I like the option of trying something optimal on turn 4 rather than guessing between equally likely possibilities...
Why did you omit S from lines 3 and 4 ...?
Your AEGIS followed by YOUTH strategy seems good for regular 3s and 4s...
I'm playing by the rule that you have to use all achieved info from line 1 into line 2 - which is less formulaic.
I expect this has passed others by too....
In Settings on the game, "Hard Mode" consists of a rule that "All revealed tips must be used in subsequent guesses" ....
It never occurred to me to do anything else and I definitely haven't yet understood optimal strategy.
