He's planning to set up a system at Newcastle similar to the successful one he set up ay Brighton - quelle surprise! I presume that's exactly what Newcastle bought him to do...........................
Whatever legacy Ashworth may have left at West Brom, there isn't much evidence of it now. Team not doing well, very disgruntled and unhappy fans and nothing vaguely modernising or innovative on the managerial front.
Wow! Congratualtions on identifyng our South American ACM/No.10 (where he's played for Argentina) as our replacement for Bissouma at DM, and promoting Sima to the first team squad on the basis of a season on the treatment table, while at the same time writing off the PL futures of Jenks...
In the long term it might be a loss, but it doesn't explain the sudden and dramatic loss of form and the awful results. The sale of Dan Burn has been a much bigger factor (though how much of a nudge Ashworth might have given Newcastle about BDB is open to question).
Blimey, it's a good job this thread is headed 'Dan Ashworth', otherwise the last half dozen posts might have had it taken down quicker than a whore's drawers!
I'm sure we can prevent him formally taking up his duties at Saudi FC, but I don't suppose we can do much about him phoning Amanda and saying, 'Hey Mandy - have a look at this - https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/club/stadiums/training-centre - what you need to get started on is sourcing an X...
But that isn't going to be the case, is it. It was the case in January, and they targetted their recruitment very cleverly. Two good new FBs, a good CB, plus a midfielder and a target man - whatever the situation will be in the summer, Newcastle won't be in the bottom 3, facing a relegation...
Fits in with our plan then. Sell one or two players (preferably just the one) for big money every summer and replace with the succession plan that Ashworth (among others) has put in place.
If somebody competant was seen to be sorting the mess and putting right the structural deficiencies, I think incremental success and obvious progress would be deemed satisfactory. How long did it take to turn Citeh into champions of England? Don't think the new owners (or the supporters) would...
He probably can - but it's one of those things - the richer people get, the richer they want to be, the more important even more money becomes to them. If I'd had a couple of million pounds when I was fifty it would have been like all my dreams came true and I'd happily retire. If on the other...
Bearing in mind that a million pounds is more than most 50 year olds will have ever earned, I suggest that the need for "millions snd millions" is way OTT!
What a load of ill-informed ****! All players and back room staff may leave at some time but not in the way this idiiot suggests. Who is paying him for this guff? can I have his job, please?
You're reall having trouble with this, aren't you? Unable to tell the truth from a lie. The S*n truthfully states that there is a rumour; your example, however, I'm calling out as a lie. You have not heard a rumour about me being a Palarse fan. You may be trying to start one, but it's 100%...
