I agree. I'm just trying to think about what happens next after Ukraine is defeated.
Trump will win the election and the EU won't support Ukraine with enough hardware.
Just thinking about what will really happen.
I wonder if the better course of action for the West (long term) would have been to let Putin defeat Ukraine and manage the insurgency that would have been incoming.
It may be that a defeated Ukraine will longer term turn their ire on the West for letting them down.
Just thinking aloud...
What the actual HELL is Ben Wallace spouting on about?
People want to see gratitude! Try having a few missiles aimed at your home cities Wallace!
The gratitude should be ours towards Ukraine.
Well, give Vlad an excuse to cancel his May 9th Victory Day celebrations and avoid any embarrassment.
If the Ukrainian's really do have the ability to hit the Kremlin with a drone then it says a lot about how poorly organised Putin's set up is.
Why do I get a sense that we are being softened up by our media in preparation for a Ukrainian defeat?
It's all starting to feel like 'compromise' (i.e. let Putin have the Donbas) is on the horizon. Any sniff of victory and he and his cronies will be back to do the same in the Arctic, Moldova...
I think we have to consider that the Russian attitude towards the death of a soldier is different to that in other cultures. Life is seen as collateral damage and the individual in Russian society is of far less value than the State. In the West, the opposite is true.

I don't think Putin is that short sighted. Just by creating a humanitarian disaster he has achieved one aim, and that's to destabalise Europe through a mass of refugees. My fear is that even if they wanted him gone, the security council is toothless. It's a one man crusade.
Sooner or later we...
Just seen the footage of the tank going over that car in Ukraine.

I'd say 'unbelievable', but it isn't. It's here.
We may have anticipated his every move, but he has still gone through with it.
I anticipate that he will next pick off a vulnerable NATO state. Expect him to start to express concern for Russians living in Estonia and Latvia.
I expect him to encourage and allow Belarus to engage more...
I'm rather delighted you are not in charge.
That would be an act of war by the part of NATO against Russia and escalate very quickly into mushroom clouds over Moscow, London and Washington.
Right now, I'd imagine that NATO will want to move forces up to the border and we'll see a significant...
