    Has anyone come up with an answer to why we need something that will waste time and money, to solve a problem there's no evidence exists?

    I don't drive and my passport expired 3 years ago. What do I need a photo ID card for?

    I can see a Guido Fawkes thing about needing photo ID to join the labour party conference which is s different thing a meeting. I'd be surprised if other parties didn't do the same.

    I'm sure everyone else will be happy to pay for something to solve a problem that doesn't appear to exist that might disenfranchise other people. That seems a sensible use of time and money at the present time

    Most of those countries seem to have national ID cards. And one of those countries is the famously democratic and fair Hungary
