    Starmer started on Sunak about 2-3 weeks ago. He's about the only Tory in cabinet with a modicum of adaquacy and with a fair chance of being the next Tory leader. Sunak has had a " Good" crisis since being put in post but that will change when he has to find ways of clawing back all those millions.

    And, at that point in time the official SAGE position that a " Two week circuit breaker lockdown" was all that was required... Now its a longer one month lockdown because of Johnson's dithering.

    I think he has managed to distance himself from a lot of the disasters, U turns and broken promises though, he's managed to give plenty of money away without revealing how he is going to get it back, that's when he will lose some " lustre " !

    I did a trip to Morrisons first thing and was told by a friend who works on the checkouts that it was manic Friday night. Fairly busy this morning, saw a oldish bloke with a trolley load that included 4x12 cans of Carling....that is desperate stockpiling!

    I'm struggling to think of any members of the Cabinet other than Sunak, who have not yet been thrown under the bus in the last year. They have all either lied to support each other ( Gove " I have driven as a way of testing my eyesight too...") or protect themselves ( Jenrick " I don't recall...

    Cases are rising rapidly in Brighton but the numbers are still fairly low , if they do the national lockdown it will be in order to have a unified set of standard rules across the nation. Its clear that the current three stage restrictions are not really working so something has to change...

    Sounds like it's coming soon, some type of lockdown seems inevitable given the recent surge in numbers.
