Looking at the radar, I think it's going to miss Brighton. Shame, it's really muggy, could do with the air clearing a bit.

Hearing distant rumblings here in BN2

Plenty of lightning south of Eastbourne, other than that it doesn't look like much happening.

Distant rumblings in BN2, looking very moody out to sea now and it's just starting to rain. Here we go, as they say.

Looking like a huge storm headed our way, plenty of lighting.

No idea what time I was woken up by it all kicking off. Looking at Met Office, should be on and off all day and then properly kicking off early hours. I'll be keeping an eye on Net Weather radar today.

Very disappointed after last night's show, not much going on now.

Just seen a huge bolt hit somewhere over towards Shoreham. Light rain in BN2 now.

I reckon about another 20mins or so before BN2 gets it. Looking forward to it, sat at the window with my cat watching it last night. Not looking forward to driving up to Oxford this week if it lashes it down like that again, not a massive fan of driving in heavy rain.

Properly kicking off in BN2 now, pretty relentless lightning and thunder and pissing it down, lovely.

Thunder in BN2 just now, one rumble lasted at least 30-40 seconds, seems close but netweather radar still says it's a fair way off.

The usual anticlimactic weather warning. Nothing to see here.

If the netweather radar is anything to go by, looks like rain will get here (Brighton) within the next 30-40mins, with any luck the lightning will come with it. It's usually a non event though so I'm not holding out much hope.
