Going back to what CM said earlier regarding the Lightroom tools for photo enhancement, here's an example, again the pic was taken in Rio looking the other way (some might recognise it from The James Bond film). This is only for the less experienced photogs on this thread, I don't mean to tell...
14000 is seven weeks of taking pics all day every day, 1200 of those were in just one night. I had been given a press pass for the Carnival del Pais in Gualeguaychu in Argentina which meant I could stand on the corsodrome track as the 5 hour procession of dancers and floats came by. So much bare...
My first camera was a Zenith E in '78, followed by the afforementioned Pentax K1000 which I had to flog in Stockholm when I ran out of money, after that a Nikon EM which I had to flog in Spain when I again ran out of money. Then Contax RTS 2 (lovely camera) after that all medium format cameras...
Here's 2 Panoramas from my recent South America trip. First one is Rio skyline and second one is from The Atacama desert in Chile.
Now processing 14000 pics from trip

Im thinking of splurging out on the X100V1. The release date was the beginning of the month but nobody seems to have any in stock, jessops, park cameras etc
What a result for you eh CM, very jealous.

Here's a pic of mine taken of some children of the Kayan (Long Neck) ethnic group in Loikaw, Myanmar. This was taken with my 85mm 1.4 (at 1.4) Canon lens. Its long gone now as ive switched to Sony A7, it weighed a ton but gave the most amazing bokeh at those wide angle apertures
Whilst watching the recent tear gas episode of celebrity SAS, I thought back to my trips out to Jerusalem, primarily the old city during the intifadas. Here's a pic of the panic stricken Greek Patriarch caught up in one of the frequent tear gas attacks, the trouble had been elsewhere, but as was...
You could spend a lifetime looking for the perfect butterfly shot and it wouldn't be a life wasted. eh JS
Okaaay, so its a quote from the last samurai, but true nevertheless.
This was taken just before the pandemic in Loikaw, Myanmar (Burma). The woman is from the Kayah ethnic group, the Kayah women wear capes and heavy metallic rings around their knees. This is encouraged by Kayah men who think that Kayah women are so special and fear that if they don't wear the...
