Brooklyn Brewery are doing their bit for the Craft Beer scene in NYC. I really like the Defender IPA and am quite partial to the Bel Air Sour when I'm in the mood for something a bit different. Curious if sour ales have started to appear in the UK yet.
What I meant was that I tried it after the Coors takeover and it didn't taste as good as it did before the takeover, when I liked it - that's not slagging it off, it's stating an opinion

Must admit to being rather partial to the Sours - not sure what the availability of sour beers is like in the UK...

Always liked Brooklyn Brewery for their innovation and experimenting with different brews, and this kind of joint venture can only be good...

I was in Adadia National Park last August. As well as being a great hiking area you were definitely spoilt for choice for beers. Swish went down very well with the local lobster and anything by Allagash Brewery (which is available in NYC) is good.
I tried a few Brew Free or Die IPAs when I was in DC, seemed rather fitting as the Brewery is called 21st Amendment, and this is the one that basically repealed Prohibition.
Probably scare mongering but could Obamacare put some craft brewers out of business ? New legislation will require brewers to put more information including a detailed calorie count on their labels
Just tried a bottle of Sam Adams new "Porch Rocker". Not too shabby at all. Slightly too sweet for me but very quaffable and a good summer session beer. Will go down nicely at the July 4 barbies
Glad you enjoyed them. Watched the Brighton v Leeds game in Banter in Williamsburg on Saturday. When we first arrived the game wasn't showing, but spoke to the Landlord, who was a scouser, who said all the big screens were reserved for the Prem games (which is fair enough) but he brought out his...
