Rain rain and more rain to come n the next two weeks. After a glimpse of sunny spring we are back to proper April showers again. I fear some crops will not be able to cope with any more rain. Something will suffer as a result.

5 degrees and hail in Findon. Unpleasant.

I drove down from Essex today and it was 18 degrees at the top of the M23. Incredible for Feb. Back to colder weather next week though I see.

It does rather seem to linger over the hills you're right.

In other news, every day for some time it has been drizzly in the mornings in Findon but this has not once been forecast. What is going on there. Are we just stuck in the clouds?

Question - is there an amateur weather forecasting evening course or similar you can attend? I feel like in my retirement I'd like to get interested. Got a weather station for Christmas and it is fascinating. EDIT - I have now googled. There are loads of online courses. Adding to my "things I...

Interesting that in Findon last night we only dropped to -1.9c, felt much warmer on the dog walk this morning. Still frosty and totally still. Lovely.

It's the closest near miss of potential massive snow we have had for years. Very annoying. Just went up the downs and stuck up two fingers to the French. Mind you that's almost a daily occurrence to be fair.

Watching the radar and seeing that snow being dumped on France tomorrow is going to be very irritating. I’ve not given up yet but I fear we are just going to miss out.

Currently 2.1c, shot up from earlier in the evening.

Mine bottomed at -5.9c just up the road in Findon. Surprisingly that was at 7.48am. I expected it to be colder during the earlier hours.

Might just edge us maybe?

Looking very cold from mid month. Greater chance of proper snow then according to the amateur weather forecasters.

Sadly had to spend the day in Wokingham so other than a few flurries I missed it. Got back to Findon and there is a reasonable dusting on cars and grass. Now v cold. 0.5c. Icy roads overnight I suspect. Just been for a small run and that was a mistake on every level!

And the snow?

I'm just up the road in Findon and mine says 2.5c also, so no snowman today.
