I just want to get this done now.
Although it would have been ideal to get a proven quality manager like Potter in, which would have guaranteed success over time - bringing a young, virtually unknown manager is the more exciting option.
I honestly have no idea whether we'll be in a relegation...
Bit of speculation, but I wonder if he lost some players or a faction of the squad during the end of his reign.
Our form was abysmal, and he couldn't recover it.
I'm glad he's gone to be fair. I never really warmed to the bloke, but his first season was just the perfect set of circumstances -...
f*** sake.
Why can't he just go abroad or something, or to England national team.
Going to painful to watch, as he's likely to do well there.
Hopefully our new man can do well as well, otherwise there will be feelings of what could have been.
This is a proper unknown. He did a great job in a short stint at St Pauli and that's all we really have to go by.
I suspect the club will be giving him a lot of support, and look to develop him as a manager, considering his age and experience.
I think we can start feeling confident that this is getting done.
There was some shocking names we were linked with, Cooper, etc .. so I'm feeling relieved.
We didn't get our main men, McKenna and Potter... But I can't help feel that this guy was high up the list, and probably would have...
That would be ridiculous, 2 months without a manager?! That would surely be a record, for us at least.
Also, if that's the case, then we still can't rule out Potter - stranger things have happened. 🤞
Would imagine the club is just as responsible for the supply issues and to some extent the pricing as Nike is.
Don't mind the Nike gear in principle, as it's decent enough quality. Just wish they'd be a bit more creative with our design.
If we were to change brand, Adidas seem to do some of...
This one's looking likely. 🤞
Really hope we get this one, as some of the other rumoured candidates are f***ing depressing and could send us down.
This one could still be depressing and send us down - but at least he's got something to him, despite being mostly an unknown.
It appears that they are rejecting us, rather than the other way around. We aren't getting any of our top candidates.
That's not to say the names further down the list won't be any good - but they're increasingly risky.
Hurzeler seems the best of a bad bunch, but there's no guarantee that he...
This is starting to get very concerning now.
We clearly haven't been able to get any of our top men.
This isn't going to plan for TB & DW, that much is clear.
Although I wouldn't rule out something them pulling something unexpected out of the bag.
Potentially terrible news for the club.
The only other decent sounding alternative that has come up so far is Hurzeler, even that's a huge risk, and there's a chance he won't want to join us either.
Agreed.
Doesn't matter that he's a quality manager, he had the absolute AUDACITY to mildly patronise the negative minority at the Amex who forgot (or weren't there) where we came from and decided to boo despite being safe and dry in the Premier League. Not to mention, the CHEEK to say that life...
Potter "Well, I'd quite like an easy life again"
Bloom "I wish I could say that it would be, but there's a handful of NSCers that intend to boo you, or even rip up their season tickets and smash their iPhones"
Potter "It is what it is"
At least Cooper isn't on that list.
Rydstrom seems like a depressing appointment, destined to fail. Zero pedigree and limited success in a league equivilent to League One at best.
Hurzeler seems like a wildcard option. Had a bit of success and is young enough to be adaptable, but still a...
