    [Albion] Kieran McKenna

I actually think Potter would have performed better than De Zerbi this season. Finding solutions and dealing with squad rotation and adapting was much more a Potter skill. I doubt the injury list would have been as high as well.

Of course he has. He is clearly on. Chelsea's pay roll and paid to post about them.

    [Albion] Kieran McKenna

Linked in the press is not really the metric here. I doubt Steve Cooper had gone down in the eyes of people that matter and know about what makes a good manager. The press, pundits and fans that blindly regurgitate what they say....yeah he will have done but that doesn't matter. The reason he...

Then why would the fans accept him now? That literally makes no sense. If he finishes anywhere in the EPL he has more experience than he has now, finished higher in the league than he has now etc etc. And on top of that he didn't underperform in the EPL.

I don't buy that. Everyone thinks they will go down. So if they do he has performed to expectations and his stock will remain the same. If they get close or even stay up his stock will shoot up.

[Albion] Brighton v Ipswich: which club is bigger?

Does it matter? Not really. 🤷

[Albion] Are the club thin skinned and unable to take criticism?

Sure. But that doesn't mean the club are thin skinned to stick to their already working plan. I don't get your point?

[Albion] Are the club thin skinned and unable to take criticism?

I don't think a manager that was her for under two seasons can be close to being described as "the best manager we have ever had". Not even close. Ready made players....ok how do we afford that long term? The reason we made that money is from the current model. You break that, we lose the...

[Albion] Are the club thin skinned and unable to take criticism?

I fail to see the similarities in the Leeds model and the Brighton model. They are wildly different - one major difference is Brighton have one.

[Albion] Are the club thin skinned and unable to take criticism?

Sticking to a plan that is clearly working is not thin-skinned.

[Albion] Roberto De Zerbi To Leave Albion After Tomorrow's Game

The best means long term. De Zerbi's idea of the best was very short sighted.

[Albion] Roberto De Zerbi To Leave Albion After Tomorrow's Game

I disagree. Tony Bloom wants the team to be the best and his way will get it there. De Zerbi's strategy is not going to make the team the best, maybe for a season or two, but then we will crash an burn. But that's ok as he will have left.

[Albion] Anyone else have the sinking feeling that this is Gross’s last game for us too?

I would expect the club to sign him on a longer contract with a view to coaching. Especially after Lallana leaves. Can't see anyone offering a few that would tempt us to sell - he is one of the top midfielders in the EPL and will command a big fee.

[Football] Clubs to Vote on VAR removal

Because the standard of referees in the epl is way behind other countries. Increasing the pipeline will increase competition and increase standards.

[Football] Clubs to Vote on VAR removal

It would definitely help attract more people, and if there are more people and more competition for jobs that should drive a higher standard. It also feels a bit weird to have people on £100k a year lay down the law for people paid £100k a week. Is that not a bit wrong? If we expect the players...

To address the pipeline issue maybe pay them more? If you compare the money the players are on with the referees the referees are paid a tiny fraction of the amount. Pay them well and put in place rigorous fitness and training regimes. It will help a lot.

    [Football] You're the Ref (again)

Surely if the officials are doing their jobs the substitution would not be allowed to happen until the check is completed. All the officials in the ground would know they are looking at something so the game pauses. That means no substitution would occur until the check is completed.

[Football] Clubs to Vote on VAR removal

I don't know how many times it needs to be said but: the solution is better referees and officials. Pay them more and invest in training and have some actual accountability for mistakes. It's EPL level soccer with part time standard officiating. They are not fit for purpose currently. It doesn't...

[Football] Clubs to Vote on VAR removal

Those stats are not the right ones. Using them in this context is essentially trolling by that Twitter account. All that shows is decisions overturned by VAR. What it does not illustrate is incorrect decisions by VAR - like various incorrect lines for offside. Inconsistent decisions like today's...
