Cut Hyypia (spelling!) some slack here. He took on the role as a novice manager. The bloke that was to assist him, Sammy Lee, jumped ship straight after signing. He had no real quality of players to work with. I’m not sure that the club gave him the resources that were required - an arguable...

Following a stag night there were about six of us staggering along New Church Road in Hove. We thought it would be absolutely spiffing if we took the gates off people‘s driveways and then swapped them for their neighbours gates. God knows how we did it but it looked quite impressive. Not sure...

How would you feel then about other forms of employment? Valuable people get head hunted all the time, and in some cases take their staff with them. It’s accepted however disruptive or disliked it is. It seems that only in football do some people bear some emotional grudge when it happens.

I will counter this with a discussion I had with my daughter when the mass exodus to Chelsea occurred. I had the same view as you - how could a club legend jump ship in such a despicable manner? My daughter replied that by moving with the rest of Potter’s team he was assured of employment within...

Probably can’t afford it like most of us. A three bedroom semi down here in Southampton would go for £300 - £400 k. I reckon I could pick up a bus shelter for that in the twin city. :ohmy:
