They may have been a couple of seasons ago, but now they just take our youngsters on loan, don't play 'em and think they're shit. I think (hope) Moran and Ayari are better than them.
FWIW, I'd guess at (hopefully) better loans for them next season. Maybe a division down, or abroad - but this...
TB had to get rid of most of his shares (OK, maybe he did an Ernie Marples with them, but still not a major shareholder any more). We still can't do any business with USG, and we cannot plonk our youngsters there to toughen up/wait to qualify for work permits or whatever - so our bond with USG...
Agreed, although the lesson for the lady on the bike was way OTT for the offense she committed - riding on the pavement is wrong, but a death sentence is not appropriate! Manslaughter though? - not for me, but the shouty old bat needed some gaol time (now served) for being an arsehole and just...
£1 sounds alright. It used to cost money back when I were a lad (6d probably) - wouldn't have any bother forking out a Thatcher (thick, brassy and thinks it's a sovereign) for a breezy perambulation up one side of the pier and down t'other!
It's only a rumour, of course - I think I've seen it on here, so not infallible! I don't see anything odd about loaning to a (lower) PL club though. A few years ago our loanees went to the Conference, but now they're regularly being loaned out to the Championship; just progression, as loaning...
Who said anything about buying him? Not me, not the Ipswich fans. The rumour is that the original loan agreement included a second year on loan if they got promoted. That would make sense - a loan to the PL would be excellent development, and if we do come to sell, a PL impact sub is worth a lot...
If he stays with Ipswich, let's wait and see if he's the next Davis Fairclough - or even Oli Gunnar Solskjar (sp!!!)
Funny how the Ipswich fans think he's been great for them as someone to shake up the game after 70 minutes or so. Stats eh? Ah well, perhaps they know more about tractors than...
It also went on in offices -
"There was a phone call for you while you were in the loo, I took a message though - can you phone them back?"
"OK, what was the number? What was it about, do you know?"
"C & J Lyon bros. Ltd. - something about an order, I think - oh, and it was Mr.C. you want, not...
Oh come on! He looked really bloody good in PL2 as well. Player of the season; not just Brighton's PL2 player of the season, but the whole of PL2's player of the season. You don't get that for being sh1te, and there's plenty of competition.
I still believe it was a mistake not to send him out on...
He should have gone on loan the January after the Spurs match, or at least in Summer 2020. Hindsight's wonderful, eh?
..............................except I'm not the only one who thought so at the time. Such thoughts might even have been expressed on NSC if anybody can be bothered to find...
If it's right that he has been released by Hull, then his career looks to be on a downward path. He has talent, so he could make a comeback, of course, but it would take three or four seasons and a lot of hard work!
Still, a quick Google suggests an average wage of about £4K a week in League 1...
I would think there's a fair case to be made for another season's loan - although there may be interesting alternatives, lower end PL or abroad for a year perhaps.
Could Massive be our new USG, now that our connection with the latter is not so close? Looking at that fans forum, they're pretty...
