[Albion] Igor , Dahoud and Fati. What an absolute waste of money.

This is nonsense. First goal was down to Webster being kept off the pitch by officials and us not reorganising

Second game running, Chelsea scored on Wednesday as Dunk came back on after treatment. Some confusion over who should be picking up who and they score.

Same kind of thing today. Webster off the pitch and no one quite sure who should be doing what again.

Why is Igor getting lumped in with those helmets? Made a mistake did he?

In completely unconnected news - I once listened to a Radio 4 programme. It was called something like 'the life of cats'. Very interesting. One of the standout parts was a psychologist talking about cats' reactions to stimuli. Apparently they will generate an emotional, nervous system response to apparently disconnected factors.

For example, if a cat walks along In a kitchen and walks past a different coloured tile at the time a car backfires outside, the backfiring car will make the cats nervous system panic and move into emergency mode. It will then, forever-more believe it was the colour of the tile that was the result of its fear, anger and bewilderment, As it doesn't have the cognitive ability to understand cause and effect.

Anyway. I digress, Baleba was decent.

He was one of the players that we signed because RDZ wanted him.

(I think he's fine fwiw)

Igor is what he is. A second choice, left footed centre back.

He’s not as good as Dunk or Van Hecke, he’s quite slow for a left back, and yet he’s had to play all those roles thanks to injuries and squad depth. He’s exactly what we bought.

OP has done his usual routine of saying something that’s true and then exaggerating it for attention

I think Igor cost around the same as locadia and ali j did (c17m)

For that we have a prem league standard reserve defender who has had to play full back due to injuries often. He was 25 when we signed him so a little older than our normal targets but on a vfm basis I think he is ok.

It's easy to point at dahoud and say he was a flip (a free flop at that albeit I'm sure well paid). And Fati? We knew he was injury prone but nobody could have foreseen him imploding as he has after the november injury

Fati has been a crushing disappointment, primarily down to his reputation and enormous wages. He sums up the second half of the season for me. Dahoud has been a pointless signing but not the same level of disappointment because we've had loads of signings like him down the years. It just didn't work out.

As for Igor, well he doesn't belong in the conversation. Pointless name checking him just because he had a bad game yesterday.

Not only yesterday.

Agree he’s not as poor as Fati and Dahoudthough, but he’s not good enough.

I actually think Igor is quite good. Remember a time when people were saying Solly March was crap?

Igor has really good qualities but maybe not the right system / manager after all.

Not much we can do about Dahoud not settling. Unlucky there. But he showed moments of quality.

Fati, for me, was a waste of money from the get go and the type of signing I’m very uncomfortable with Brighton making. If we’d signed Fred goodness knows what would have happened.

Naylor's Athletic article makes no reference to Fati being an RDZ signing, only Dahoud and Igor. Ans we only ended up with Igor because we couldn't get Colwill and desperately needed a left footed centre back.
Igor is mentioned in there as well as a RDZ signing

Roberto De Zerbi built on the foundations laid by Potter, with the good start to the season and the developed players.

I think Potter could have achieved similar heights if he stayed in charge.
You are ignoring the changes RDZ made tactically and improving players that Potter didn’t like March and Mitoma.
Putting all that down to Potter is being very blinkered.
